Hawraman is a mountainous area located in the north-east Kurdistan Region known for its walnut production. Hana Osman, also known as
Hana Nasrin, a chef from Hawraman mixes walnuts and qazwan with kebab, middle
eastern dish made with meat and vegetables.
Qazwan, or terebinth, mainly grows in the
mountainous areas of the Kurdistan Region. It is used in coffee, yoghurt drinks,
eaten raw green, or dried and salted.
